Random Thought Some times, you feel like quitting, sometimes you feel like giving up, sometimes you feel like running away from it all.....Life can be tough and challenging at times....You feel caged, you feel like revolting, you feel like lashing out, you feel like giving it back.....That is the time we have to take a break... a clean break from the events and situation....it - taking a break - helps a lot. It lets you become calm and lets your mind cool off till you start thinking rationally, weighing the pros and cons of your actions. If you do this, that will happen, if you do that, something else will happen, so why not give a pause......The longer the pause the better you reason and rationalise. There have been many a time when I...oh sorry that should read we, but I will make an exception this time. I just want to run away from it all. Whatever we do, people do not understand, whatever we do, people take it for granted. Why cant people be more understanding and caring? Why cant they see the effort that you have put in? Perhaps the world is self centric like you. When you think of yourself, why cant the others? They too must be thinking that you are self centric. The best formula is to pause, cool off, rationalise and then act. This saves you from many a tricky situation and a lot of embarrassment. Never act in haste. At the spur of the moment, your actions may seem right, but if you sit back and give a cool thought, you realise that there are many loopholes in your theory. Remember the maxim - haste makes waste. There have been many occasions when I have nearly acted in haste, but after giving an cool thought, I realised that I was wrong. A pause had saved me. I have resorted to writing when in a tense and tight situation, letting my thoughts flow, filling page after page...that release the emotions. I save it and then re reread if after a day or two and realise how wrong I was. My thinking was clouded by my emotions. After re-reading it, I delete it and feel glad that I did not take a hasty action.
