Random thought: Ive never met so many Christians offended at the word Christian. But I get it. Well... At least I think I get it. Could it be that many Christians think that to verbalize or put our Christianity on display is outdated, antiquated and doesnt mesh with the times? Or maybe it is that Christians would rather not be associated with all of the other loud mouthed, bigoted, prejudiced Christians that has given Christianity a bad name? The way that I see it is that God is too good to keep quiet about. His sacrifice was too massive to sell him out in order to keep friendships. His love is too deep to exchange his for a political party. His grace is wide to yield to public pressure. My Christianity is not designed to be just a personal choice. Your Christianity was not designed to only be practiced on Sunday morning and in the confines of your own home. Your Christianity is to be shared. Your Christianity should be about bring Christ to the masses. At the heart of my view that Christians should support godly policies is that the whole agenda of the gospel is social. At the forefront of everything Christ did, the intent was that mankind would be saved. Ask yourself this; are the policies that I affirm helpful to the overall mission that I joined myself to when I became a disciple of Jesus? Am I a good ambassador for Christ in what I stand for or have I defected from the faith I claim I practice?
