Random thought: There is no such thing as a 100% drama- free relationship or person. No two people or relationship is perfect. Everyone has some little twist or hiccup in their personality that will bother, annoy or bug the crap out of the next person. So if youre waiting for yourself to become perfect or to meet the perfect person, youre gonna be waiting a long time. You might have to wait to meet that person in eternity. Only God fits that description. Everyone has drama, issues and baggage. No one is exempt; I dont care how cute she is, how handsome he is, or how well they appear to have it together. The trick is to find someone whos drama and baggage you can live with, and work on building something solid and long- term with them in spite of. So many people seem to be looking for the flawless in others, when really theyre just afraid of failing at another relationship. How long do you think it realistically takes to get yourself together to date again? Some of us have been waiting longer than 10-20 years! If you dont have yourself together by now, obviously either youre too flawed or too scared to move forward with your life. Im leaning more towards too scared. I call it pricing yourself purposely out of the market. Setting standards so ridiculously high you know no one else can measure up. Then you can use that as an excuse for hiding your own faults and deficiencies behind I cant find anyone who measures up to my high standards. Thats because that person doesnt exist. And you know it. Instead of seeking perfection in yourself or in others, accept the fact you will always have some goofy hangup to contend with in your own life, as will everyone else. Were not here to be perfect, were here to learn to live and grow in spite of our imperfections; and very often because of them. Thats where relationship freedom can be found. And its a lot less burdensome than putting on some act you cant live up to anyway.
