Rant of the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Theres a rash of these Dog Killings By Cop....some people are afraid of dogs. Just as I hate spiders. If your gonna have a job as a police officer in the public you should be evaluated and trained in dog behavior. I recognize the fact a officer has to use deadly force on a dog and it should be recognized that a person who hates, or fears dogs doesnt care if its a poodle to a pit bull. Just as I dont care to know the difference between house spider to a tarantula. Sure I can tell the difference but if ones coming up to me on a table or just standing between me an my bathroom (where I really now have to get too), it will die. Dogs behaviors are varied. My shin tzu Charlie and the rest of her breed are known for barking at a burglar but soon as theyre in the door they will greet and love them then show the bad guys where you keep your jewelry. To a non dog enthusiasts or one who was traumatized as a child will not care for the differance. To them its as viscous and mean as the dog that bit him at 5. A cop has a right to defend himself and is trained heavily in this career to protect and serve. If they had to train on dog behavior and attitude Im sure a lot of these videos would slow down. Im not condoning the dogs right to bite but I am condoning the dog dont know the words, Police...Stay calm.,,, They see a stranger running or being erratic in the house of their pack leader and best friend. I could rant over this for days but it wont change that sometimes things like this happen,but doesnt have to at all times.
