Rant time. Am I the only one who gets extremely mad when people say that theyre more dedicated fans to a movie/book series if they 1) Read it before it was popular 2) Read it before the movie was announced 3) Read the book at all? I think thats just wrong. Sometimes people never heard of a series until it was popular, didnt know there was a book until they saw the movie/trailer, or didnt have time or the ability (like if theyre dyslexic. I understand theres ways to overcome dyslexia, but it can be really hard) to read it. Like, its just wrong to think youre a more dedicated fan because you read the book before the movie. Sometimes people dont have time to read a book, so they see the movie then they read the book. Or they dont know if theyll like it until the movie and dont want to invest time into something they wont like. That doesnt make them any less of a fan. I understand saying youre a more dedicated fan if the other person has only seen the movie and claim theyre the biggest fan ever! Ive only seen the Harry Potter movies and I consider myself a fan because I really enjoyed them, but I dont say, Im such a huge fan! Im like the biggest fan ever!
