Rapp Sheet - Friday, April 25, 2014 What a joyous Easter celebration we had last week! It was so exciting to feel the energy and spirit of the congregation on this the highest and most significant of all Sundays. The sanctuary was full to overflowing. The music was uplifting. The message reminded us that Easter hope is the promise of the living Lord’s presence with us in our lives today and also the promise of eternal life. Christ has won the victory and the worst thing is never the last thing! I want to express my deep gratitude and appreciation to all who worked so hard to make the season of Lent and Easter so special. There are so many people who give of their time and talent to prepare for our services, to teach small group studies, and to serve behind the scenes in vital support roles. My thanks to each and every one of you! God worked through all of our combined efforts and provided a bountiful result. We had our second highest combined Sunday worship attendance (820)in the last 10 years! Praise God! So where do we go from here? Well let’s not lose this momentum. Let’s live the resurrection. How do we do that? One way is to answer His call to serve the church and the world. I want to challenge you to join us for our Community Outreach and Church Workday tomorrow. We will begin at 9:00 AM tomorrow with a brief devotion and then will disperse to complete service projects in our community and around the church. The day will conclude at 5:00 PM with a delicious dinner provided by the Amigos Ministry. On Sunday we will gather once again to worship our living Savior. We will be looking at the story of Doubting Thomas. We will see how the reality of the resurrection unlocks the doors of our hearts and minds and frees us from fear and doubt. I look forward to seeing you! Randy
