Rarely does an onion look perfect on the outside, only to be found rotten on the inside. Usually the effects of it being rotten appear on the outside. Similarly, a person may seem perfect on the outside, but only Allah knows the content of their heart. Some are good at covering up ill intentions, like a rotten onion. But most of the time the effects of their ill intentions become apparent. Allah knows our intentions, whether we conceal them or announce them. May Allaah grant us sincerity!
