Rarely ever do I post statuses... And when I do its usually about my loving husband and best friend Gary... This one is no different. For those of you who know him or care to know how a real man treats a women please take a minute and look at this super long status. Today I was invited to a magazine release party for a Houston fashion magazine Im being featured in, and Gary isnt really into fashion and when we usually go he goes just to make sure Im comfortable and keep my spirits high... And to make fun of people. But he came with me tonight and sat through a 5 hour party and that alone is worth me thanking him. But in typical Gary fashion, he went above and beyond for me tonight. After the fashion show my family invited me out to a Mediterranean cafe that we regular visit and despite being hungry and tired (and hating Mediterranean food) he was happy to join us... He ordered chicken tenders and fries lol. But wait theres more! The last time I came here without him there was a waiter that was sort of inappropriate with me, even after i told him Im married. Today that same waiter was working and being the same way and he wasnt even our waiter. Gary simply asked me if that was the dude who gave me problems last time and I told him I dont want him to worry about it and just to relax because its been a long night and he said okay, as long as youre comfortable just let me know if youre not having a good time. The guy keeps doing what hes been doing for a few more minutes... Then Gary stands up and asks him his name. The guy tells him his name and Gary stands up from his chair and this is how classy my husband is. Gary extends his hand to welcome a hand shake and say this: Hey man, my name is Gary and Im Hanans husband. Ive noticed youve been helping out our waitress and the extra service is appreciated. I dont want you to think of me getting out of my chair as a sign of confrontation, but where Im from you stand to greet people as a sign of respect. Im not trying to disrespect you, but Im going to speak very slowly and very clearly because its important that you understand what is and isnt okay. My wife isnt comfortable with the way your interactions and her being uncomfortable makes me extremely uncomfortable and we came here to relax. So just like Im respecting you, I would hope that you would be equally as respectful and respect my wife, myself, and our marriage and mind your own tables which will probably get you better tips. Is that okay? Or are we going to have a problem? And remember, Gary isnt a big dude and this guy was like... Idk bigger than Gary and looks like he spends a lot of time at the gym. Long story short, we didnt have a problem for the rest of the night, and we got free food, and Gary tipped our super sweet waitress $40 which is what our bill should have originally been. Hows that for class? I mean he could have just said hey man she doesnt like hairy dudes with big noses... Thanks for always taking such great care of me honey. I love you more than youll ever know.
