Rarely unable press release MARTYRDÖD SHARE THE TITLE TRACK FROM THEIR FIFTH ALBUM, ELDDOP, DUE FOR RELEASE ON SOUTHERN LORD IN JULY, PLUS UK AND EUROPEAN TOUR DATES APPROACHING LISTEN TO THE TITLE TRACK ELDDOP HERE: https://soundcloud/rarelyunable/martyrdod-track-stream-elddop Martyrdöd are soon to release their fifth album, Elddop the follow up to the powerful declaration of political rage that was Paranoia in 2012. The band’s fifth LP is the most emotionally intrusive record of the Swedish four-piece yet. Relentlessly forcing its way into the most obscure corners of the human mind, Elddop challenges the darkness by way of confronting it, and thus already pierces its way through the black, towards spiritual release. The daring 14 song record allows Martyrdöd to elaborate on some of the musical themes and influences that have long characterised their sound. Securely placed in traditional Swedish hardcore punk such as Anti-Cimex, Martyrdöd stands on the shoulders of giants, seeing further, wanting more. Enchanting melodies and Bathory-esque folk music finds a perfect fit in war charged d-beat mayhem. They have also recruited Fredrik Reinedahl on bass, who has stacked up production and engineering credits for bands, Sólstafir, Abandon, Burst, Crowpath, Dimension Zero, Gadget and Memfis to name a few. Southern Lord shall release the CD/LP on 21st July, with a special European version of the vinyl coming out on La Familia & D-beat Raw Punk. Meanwhile this release comes as perfect timing as the band shall be touring the UK and Europe with Converge throughout August, a great opportunity to hear their new songs live. Here are the tour dates: 03.08.14 France Paris @ La Maroquinerie 04.08.14 UK Manchester @ Club Academy 05.08.14 UK Glasgow @ Classic Grand 06.08.14 UK London @ Scala 07.08.14 Germany Köln @ Underground 08.08.14 Belgium Ieper @ Ieper Fest – Converge, Martyrdod only 09.08.14 Czech Rep Jaromer @ Brutal Assault 10.08.14 Hungary Budapest @ A38 11.08.14 Austria Salzburg @ Rockhouse 12.08.14 Slovenia Maribor @ MC Pekarna 13.08.14 Italy Milan @ Magnolia Open Air 14.08.14 Germany Stuttgart @ Universum Made up of some of crusts top combatants (Agrimonia, Miasmal, Skitsystem), Martyrdöd fuse black metal, crust punk and unfathomable darkness to staggering effect, and have put out some of this milleniums most intense records, including the game-changing In Extremis, and the aforementioned Paranoia, which saw them expand their sound with more dynamic leads, empowering dis-harmonies and tension-filled buildups than ever before. The band have built up a brutally-diehard fanbase in the underground, and they are truly unstoppable live, make sure you can get to one of these dates.
