Rascals at MacDonalds Serve Beef Cheese Again Again today despite specifically ordering Vegetarian cheese in Fillet O Fish burger the rascals at MacDonalds served us with beef cheese. This has happened for the 5th time. Note that I was there to do a routine check (on behalf of Hindu Council of Fiji) as well since McDonalds agreed that they would exercise caution in serving the cheese and I found that on all 5 occasions they failed. When I raised the issue at the collection window with the staff named Artika, that while taking my order their staff at the 1st window (an iTaukei female) did not bother to ask if I wanted vegetarian cheese or beef cheese but being vigilant I stressed that it has to be vegetarian cheese, she gladly offered to check the Fillet burger and we found out that indeed it had beef cheese. I then called the Manager on duty and told to him how disgraceful it is for MacDonalds to be doing this to those Hindus who do not even know that their cheese contains beef enzymes. I also asked if for them being a Hindu was any shameful to be serving beef product to fellow Hindus. They said they felt very bad doing this and were very guilty of such horrendous conduct by MacDonalds. Imagine how many Hindus are ordering products with cheese not knowing that they are deliberately served cheese with beef enzymes. The Manager apologised yet again. This has been about the 5th incident in the last 2 months of my checking. It only means that MacDonalds are least bothered if Hindus are fed with beef cheese. Its a shame on such a food chain to be insulting our religious beliefs and hurting the sentiments of Hindus. My final meeting with a legal consultant from Australia is on Monday 8th December in Suva before we file legal action against MacDonalds. They must also know that this time they are not fighting with someone from the street. Starting to remincse how I took on Fiji Water in Federal Court of Australia and Central District Court of California with a clear cut victory.
