Rathdrum, ID Free to good rehabilitation home only, 6 yo dappled grey Thoroughbred Mare, 16 hands. Ties, loads, stands for vet and farrier, is not head shy at all, good athletic confirmation, has a lot of speed, I believe she has been gamed on in the past. She is green broke, can walk and trot, halt and back nicely but needs more consistent work in the canter. She is trained to lunge and has a very even gait. I have ridden her English, western and even bareback with just a halter. Her training is at a point where you can finish her your way, but I do not recommend her for a beginner rider as she can take advantage of timid riders. We have hauled her to a couple different arenas and to a show this summer and she did very well adapting to a new environment. If you are interested in taking this special girl I will be very upfront and have current vet records of what all has been done, and what needs to be done. She is in need of rehabilitation for the next 4 months as she is recovering from an abscess and cannot be turned out in a muddy pasture. She must be kept in a clean and dry stall while her hoof fully grows back, however if you have an indoor arena, she can be worked and trained while she is recovering. Despite this temporary special need, she is a very special horse with loads of personality. She is utd on vaccines, wormer, hooves and teeth floating. I can send her with a fly sheet, rain sheet, medium weight winter blanket and a halter and lead rope for $75 as she is currently blanketed and will need to be for the remainder of this winter. This is a gorgeous horse and my top priority is to find a good home so I am not in a hurry, she would make a good 4H project once she is fully recovered.
