Rather than starting off 2015 and a new year of my life by making - TopicsExpress

Rather than starting off 2015 and a new year of my life by making a resolution (which, let’s be honest, the chances of keeping it are fair to slim), I’ve been doing some reflecting. I’ve realized that now, more than ever before in my life, I’ve surrounded myself with an amazing group of women. I think a lot of people don’t necessarily have so many close female peers, and I feel really lucky to be able to call these ladies my friends. I hope we all continue to love, respect and support one another in the year(s) to come, so with that spirit in mind, I wanted to make a few shout-outs: Georgia Akehurst – my best, my sister, my person, my soulmate, my partner in crime, my bee. There are no words. I love you to the moon and back, and cannot wait till we are at least on the same coast forever! We’re gonna be old ladies together with all our furry little children one day. Chelsea Cantrell – intelligent, supportive, intuitive, independent, adventurous. You are the whole package. My life would be bereft without you. I know beyond a doubt that if the zombie apocalypse happens, you and I will be survivors side by side. We’ve got each other’s backs, and it means the world to me. XOXO Megan Francis – you, my love, are irreplaceable. I’ll never have another friend as crazytown as you – or as deeply sensitive, engaging, passionate and loyal. Life goes up and down but we’ll always have each other no matter what happens. Mary Jean – You are by far the sweetest, most genuine, giving girl I’ve ever met. I’m so grateful to have you in my life and count you among my bestest friends. We have something truly special. Nikki Wise, Nicole Esposito, Adrien Kathleen – I’m so lucky to live with three such awesome, fun, independent and empowered women. We are different in a lot of ways, but when it comes down to it, we have the best house in town. Not many people get to live with some of their best friends and make it work! Here’s to us. Angie Caro – I have so much admiration for you, and am so beyond thrilled that you found your partner in life and that this year you two will make it official! I love you. Barbie Hutton - I’m sorry I didn’t wake up to say goodbye when you left this past weekend! Your trips back to the DC area to visit mean a lot to me. And no picture will ever beat our NYE picture from this year! I’m coming down to the Carolinas to visit soon, promise :-) Sara Alpaugh – Since you’ve moved down here, even in this short time I’ve seen you grow so much as a woman and friend – all while maintaining the energy and zest for life that is most uniquely you! What a gift. Thank you for sharing that with me :-) Maria Harwood – there are few people in my life that go back as far as we do. Thank you for being such a beautiful soul and sharing so much of your heart with me all these years. Jessica Rusnack – I’m so happy we’ve maintained our friendship even though you aren’t here anymore. I will never forget the flowers you sent. Come back to us! Much love
