Ratings for this weeks films Ratings come from Rotten Tomatoes New release films this week are: Hercules Lucy Magic in the Moonlight And So It Goes The Fluffy Movie The Fluffy Movie is a concert film with Gabriel Iglesias which opens in limited release in the US this weekend. No idea of an Australian or UK release date. Its currently sitting at 56% on Rotten Tomatoes which indicates its not a bad concert movie but its very average. And So It Goes is director Rob Reiners latest project. It stars Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton. Rob Reiners last great film came out in 1995, a movie called The American President which also had Michael Douglas. Unfortunately this movie has received the worst reviews of the week with it currently sitting at 16% on Rotten Tomatoes. Magic in the Moonlight is Woody Allens latest directorial effort which stars Colin Firth and Emma Stone. After the success that was Blue Jasmine, youd think he would come up with another crowning achievement to add to his resume. Unfortunately, thats not the case. This movie currently stands at 61% which means its a good film but compared to Blue Jasmine its pretty average. Lucy is the latest action movie from French director Luc Beeson. It has Scarlett Johansson as the main action heroine and Morgan Freeman playing a professor. This is the film that has Scarlett Johanssons character offered a drug that helps her gain superhuman strength and abilities. Lucy is apparently a good movie. It currently stands at 60% on Rotten Tomatoes which is good but not great. Hercules is the big movie for this week. If you remember watching the trailer, you would remember thinking My God, this looks so bad, but prepared to get surprised. Apparently the film is a good fun ride. It currently stands at 63% positive which is a big surprise. Overall, there are some good but not great films this week but its your decision on whether you want to see Hercules, Lucy or Magic in the Moonlight in cinemas. The other two films, best wait for DVD for them. Next weeks ratings for films are Get on Up, the latest from the director of The Help, a biopic about James Brown and the highly anticipated penultimate film to Avengers: Age of Ultron Guardians of the Galaxy Last minute update. Some reviews are already up for Guardians of the Galaxy and so far its been given a overwhelmingly positive response. On Rotten Tomatoes, it currently stands on 100% positive. Itll go down especially by next week, but it looks like Guardians of the Galaxy may live up to the hype.
