Ratings from the Liverpool game (Out of 10) De Gea: 9. He didnt put a foot wrong. Was confident and alert. Sterling and Balotelli will not want to face him again. Jones: 7,5 For man who hasnt played in a while he was good. He looked stabil and fit. His passing wasnt the best though. Carrick: 8. Fantastic leadership. His icecold veins were vital. His passing and defending was spectacular. Evans: 6,5. Pretty good defending, but awful passing. He always looks unsure on the ball. His defensive positioning and tackling was very good, Valencia: 7,5. A completely opposite preformance to the one against Southampton. Against Liverpool he was both good in defense and attack. He did well for the first goal and had a hand in the second one. He defended well and kept Moreno very silent. Young:6,5. A silent afternoon for the winger turned wingback. Henderson never troubled and him so he did not have to do a lot of defending and he was decent in attack. Two or three good crosses all game and one of them led to Mata scoring. Fellaini: 6,5. Made a few vital tackles and covered a lot if ground, but once again his passing let him down. Mata:7: He started in a central midfield role beside Fellaini, but he was not good there, Everytime he got the ball he was scared as soon as someone came running at him. He improved when he moved a bit higher up. He could find that space between midfield and defense which he is so good at. Good poaching for his goal despite him being offside by a mile. Great passing for the third goal. Good pass to Rooney and then a great pass to Van Persie for the third goal. Rooney:8. He did excellent for the first goal and ran a lot all game. He covered a lot of ground and tackled and passed. He was the engine and he was playing as a central midfielder. Could central midfield be the future for Rooney? Van Persie: 7. Didnt do much as the United players didnt provide him with a lot of chances, but took his goal well and was denied and beauty of a goal by a good from Brad Jones. He showed what a clinical striker he is once again. Wilson: 6. Silent day. Didnt make those runs that we were all hoping for and didnt create much either. He missed a good chance to be in there fighting for a starting position and with Falcao fully fit he will regret not playing better. Subs: Herrera: 6. Didnt do much. He ran around a lot and did good defensice work, but he came on when United were already leading so he didnt do much in attack. Falcao: 6. Didnt get enough time and was subbed on at a time where United were not trying to score or play attacking football. He did look like he was hungry which is good. McNair: Came on with a minute or two left. Sorry if i was sloppy with my spelling. Cant be arsed checking it all. JD
