The problem is not contained within the NFL. These men are idolized and paid vast sums for their ability to inflict pain and violence on other players. They are rewarded for this, and they are expected to perform. How can society expect them to leave this behavior on the field? Just turn that switch off and act like a sane human being? No. We helped create this. We reward the culture of violence. And why are we surprised when they commit violent acts?
