Raymond Loewy was a phenomenally prolific French-born American MCM industrial designer who achieved fame for the magnitude of his design efforts across a variety of industries. This man designed all kinds of products, from Electrolux floor polishers, Lucky Strike cigarette packages, railroad cars, to the interior of Howard Hughes Boeing 307. He also designed beautiful, clean-lined china. Attached are photos of a sweet little cream pitcher, pattern Coins that he designed for Rosenhall China, Germany. This was my Moms everyday china when she was married in the early 50s. I remember it as a child. Sadly, this pitcher, a sugar bowl, and a serving bowl are the only pieces remaining. She said she broke a lot of china when she was first married :-/ What I would give for the set!
