Re: GOPwingers trying to take credit for the improved economy. Hah! Good results from government primarily come from the quality of executive appointments. Democrats always prove a better economy because they appoint better people to run the agencies of government. This makes a very big difference. The improving economy we see today did not in any way come from the obstructionist/do-nothing Republican congress. Truth be told, they were a hindrance. Passing a jobs infrastructure bill would have improved our economy so much sooner. Enabling more government jobs would have aided the economy also. You see, the economy improves when there are more people who put money into the economy -- working people! Tax breaks for the wealthy does not create jobs. It creates only an opportunity for those wealthy beneficiaries to park their money off-shore to avoid any taxing. Republicans, when in power, tend to appoint anti-regulatory hacks and political donors wholl only tow a party line -- anyone remember Hurricane Katrina? The administrators of Iraq? Their FCC and FEC appointments? Their judicial nominations? The appointments of the people who run the executive agencies of government and the judiciary make a really big difference. Both Clinton and Obama appointed smart people!
