EDWARD STAPLES It is my carefully considered opinion that when a state official attempts to shift liability for state crimes onto the innocent via the states monopoly of prosecution and adjudication, such officials implicitly assume full personal responsibility for all damages wrought in the course of those state crimes as well as any and all additional state crimes committed under color of law as part of said attempt. Im not here saying this is what they deserve (nor that it is not), but that this is what they themselves have, however unintentionally, chosen through choosing to initiate new crimes for sake of buttressing their lack of accountability for the original crimes. The facts of the matter alone establish the validity of a corresponding restitution claim, freely exchangeable like any other asset.
