Re, Michael Conaghan TD Just after getting off Skype on Sat. night with my son who is one of many of our young people who had to emigrate because of the recession in Ireland. I always look forward to these little chats as they are a source of comfort to us as a family. In the course of our chat it emerged that he had received an IW pack to his new address in the UK where he has been living for over a year now. I was shocked and upset because I am still bitter about the way this country had treated him and his young family before he left. He figures that the only way he could have received this pack to his address in the UK was from his PPS number. This pack has been rerouted through the Irish Postal System from address to address except his last known address which was my address. When I asked him to send me the Pack....he simply said that he had binned it... as far as IW is concerned he is a customer of theirs... Michael Conaghhan TD is our representative in our area has made a conscious decision that when he sees people who have issues to discuss with him at his clinic in Ballyfermot would turn and run rather then face his constituents because of a peaceful protest outside his clinic... I would loved to have discussed with Michael Conaghhan TD this issue about how an IW pack found its way to my son. Now the IW pack is not the issue nor indeed his PPS number rather his reaction to what is going on in this country. Whereas water charges is the straw that broke the camels back for us, it was seeking him out to make sure that he got an IW pack was the final straw for him. The anger he has felt has turned to despair. He feels that the government here does not want him or his family or anybody like him to return to their homeland to rebuild our broken country. The only hope he has is that water issue is the one to bring the people together to reclaim our country.... Micheal Conaghan TD has decided to run like a coward rather then face the people he represents and certainly is not one good man to stand up to do the right thing. He has betrayed us. Me...I just feel sad.....
