Re: an earthquake in Japan reported on NBC Facebook page: I mentioned the scripture about earthquakes in diverse places being a sign of Christs return. Some people reminded me that since weve always had earthquakes, there is nothing supernatural about it. To which I replied: The Jews returning to a restored Israeli state happened in 1948 --that is a big prophetic sign that isnt happening over and over as natural disasters are. I wonder if the frequency of the natural disasters is increasing. Furthermore, the prophecy that all the nations will descend upon Israel in a last battle is foreseeable by todays hostilities toward israel --the Kings from the East (China?) --the Great Bear of the north (Russia? and Islamic Eastern Europe?) are all to descend upon Israel. The temple has to be re-built --which means someone will likely take down the mosque that is there now in Jerusalem on the temple mount with all the tensions in that region. Samantha, you are right that no man knows the day or the hour, and He will come like a thief in the night --unexpected --but I really doubt , Samantha, that your desire to get something done before His return is holding Him back. Hes not waiting on you to fulfill your purpose --but He may be waiting on the CHURCH to fulfill OUR evangelistic mission --so that every tribe and nation will hear the TRUTH. We ought to have a sense of urgency --about believing and serving Him now instead of waiting until tomorrow --for our day to leave the earth can come anytime --and comes for many every day --so we are to all BE READY for our passing to the Great Judgment. And we are to be willing to say, Come quickly, Lord Jesus. For those being tortured by Isis and other Islamic and Communistic groups, He cant come soon enough. For us who are comfortable in America, who have joy in our fellowship with Him in the here and now of the life we know, we may not be eager to see that great day --comfortable in the status quo --and He understands that, I trust, wanting us to love life as we do. But the best is yet to come!!! And we may see the worst before then.
