Re-post after seeing many FB posts about friends and family who are no longer with us. FB friends remind me of some of them today. First names only, I add David, Ken, Whit, Charlie and Lawrence. I post this almost every year on World AIDS day. This song was directed to comfort those afflicted with AIDS and to help politicians and others who were reluctant to embrace the cause of prevention, cure, education, and most important, sympathy and compassion for victims of this awful disease. And as for all those who regularly complain about Hollywood types entering political discussions, I say, usually the arts community is WAY ahead of the public and the politicians.
