Re-posting for my sister who is doing this through nursing school, but also knows first hand what it is like to spend long hours in the hospital with your child getting cancer treatment. The contact information is at the bottom, or you can drop off to me because my kids and I will be sending a package over. Hello Friends and Family, I have been so very blessed through difficult times in my life that some friends and I would like to pay it forward. Many times when a parent has a child who is facing an uphill battle, the parents are the heroes in the background. They are the ones that make sure the child is at all of their appointments, takes all of their medicines, and holds the child when they are hurting. They do this all without thinking, because they love their child. Many times, they are forgotten as needing a little extra TLC. This is why we would like to put together a little gift basket to let the parents on the Riley Hematology/Oncology and Stem Cell Transplant Unit know we are here for them. We know how difficult it can be to spend a considerable amount of time away from your home. These donations would make them feel a little more comfortable. We are asking for donations to make this possible. We need to fill 35 baskets. Acceptable items include: · iTunes gift cards · Papa John’s gift cards · Donatos gift cards · Bath and Body Works lotions, hand sanitizers, shower gels. · Comfy socks · Blankets · Books · Candy · Chips · Journals and Pens We can also accept monetary donations through PayPal. [email protected]. You can contact me through email at Meghan-l-g@hotmail or reach me by phone at 317-850-5028. We will be delivering donations on Friday, July 12th, 2013. We ask that we have all donations in by Monday, July 8th, 2013. Thank you all for your generosity! Meghan Sanchez
