Re-reading the best seller A Walk Across America written by my dear friend Peter Jenkins as Im sitting here watching my son Sam learn to play baseball and I reached the part of the story where Peter loses a good friend named Cooper in his travels. Its kinda hard to explain to a bunch of soccer moms why youre crying, alone, at a picnic table. Im reminded of Tom Hanks character in A League Of Their Own when he says: Theres no crying in baseball. Thanks for being such a great communicator of what it means to be alive, aware and adventurous Peter. Even if your gifting makes me look like a recently divorced, intoxicated, emotional basket case of a man to complete strangers.
