Read this...an interesting issue indeed... #Gospel vs Commercial gospel BEING a pastor, I want to add my contribution to the current debate on “miracle money” – a term introduced to our vocabulary by Prophet Uebert Angel of the Spirit Embassy. I listened to a radio programme on Star FM where a pastor from Spirit Embassy was hosted to address questions and explain the issues to do with this subject. When asked to explain how money appears in handbags, pockets and bank accounts of people, the pastor simply said it could not be explained just as the coin from the fish’s mouth could not be explained. I want to explain the coin in the mouth of the fish and show the readers that they have to be careful when we talk about miracles. It is true that miracles happen, but there is need to identify the spirit behind a miracle and see if it is the work of God. During the time of Moses, many miracles were performed by the man of God but the King’s magicians also reproduced similar miracles in many cases. The Bible shows us that we have to try ministers of the word and expose them in telling whether they are true or false: Revelation 2:1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; 2:2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars; 2:3 And hast born, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast labored, and hast not fainted; 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love; 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. The above scripture together with many others warn us to try the spirits since many other spirits other than the Spirit of God could inspire people to work miracles as pointed out throughout the Bible. Matthew 7 actually warns those who use the name of Jesus in doing miracles and casting out demons that they will not be spared as long as they are not in Him even though they experienced success in calling his name whilst on earth
