Read when you have time family. God turns my sleepless nights - TopicsExpress

Read when you have time family. God turns my sleepless nights into prayer, reflection, or some other form of edification if I dont resist. Most of the time I dont resist :-) I didnt resist tonight. I was freed up yesterday during the sermon preached by my Pastor, The Reverend Alyn E. Waller. From Luke 9:49-50 he preached the sermon, This thing really is bigger than us, and I know thats its bigger than me. Some chains came off. Hallelujah!!! As I pray for souls to be gained for Christ, I remember the promise He gave. Jesus said, if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men unto me. We are but vessels He uses to plant the seeds of the gospel which is the Word of God. And, some are called to water the seeds after they are planted. We help the new members of the body of Christ through the process of discipleship, teaching them how to get and keep the Word through the spiritual disciplines and fellowship. We make disciples who make disciples and it all starts with planting the seed and offering our new friends Christ for their salvation. Throughout this process we know that although God assigns us to these spiritual tasks, He is the One who brings the increase. He disciples us as we grow in Him and His Word and we develop a desire to do the same for others as we serve and in our everyday living. Jesus made in Awesome sacrifice when He offered to be lifted up and hung on a tree to die for us. Without His blood, without this step, we would not have the opportunity for discipleship at all because we would all be dead in sins if we lived pass the garden. Praise God, that by His grace, Jesus volunteered, was lifted up, and we are here. After a false conviction for crimes He did not commit, Jesus was lifted up on the cross, experienced great physical pain, finally giving up His earthly body. He laid dead in the grave tomb and was lifted up when God raised Him. And we lift Him up right now in praise, prayer and worship for who He is, and for all that He has done for us.We wait with expectancy for those we prayed for, some we know and some we dont, to be drawn to Him for salvation and discipleship. Family, God offers you salvation and gives you a chance to enter into His rest, be forgiven of your sins, and live with Him for eternity in heaven. You do have a call on your life, a destiny, and it includes an opportunity for salvation, but you cannot come if you dont hear. And when you hear the call, when the opportunity to know Him intimately and eternally comes your way, will you make the choice to be saved? Disciples of Christ, it is not our job to worry about why God chooses whom He chooses or how Hes going to turn them around. Neither is it our job to concern ourselves with the current or prior life of those we encounter to judge them. God is the only righteous Judge, God called them, and God will change them. Our assignments to help our brothers and sisters with their current needs and wants and to get them to a place in their walk where they are using their gifts, serving Christ, and discipling others will keep us busy enough. Just do your part. Right now I just thank God for using us to show the love of Christ through the discipline of intercessory prayer, obedience, and compassion. I thank Him for allowing us to welcome those in as a new creations, saved, filled with the Holy Spirit, blessed, and filled with the joy of the Lord. It is a privilege and an honor to serve You in this way Lord. Our dear brothers and sisters, We welcome you, we are hear for you and we love you. Please know that our relationship goes deeper and further than your day of Baptism and the Right Hand of Fellowship. We are now connected in unity and love with each other and Christ Jesus forever. He serves us, we serve you, and now we serve one another and others together. Goodnight/morning Family. Have a blessed day in the Lord :-)
