Reader input needed! What is your go to SAFE source of lentils (or safe beans in general) that are not cross contaminated? When I shared the lentil soup recipe yesterday, reader Di requested sources of truly gluten-free lentils. She asks a very good question. I know many who have found wheat, rye, or barley in their lentils before, even certified gluten free lentils. I would not be comfortable picking out those gluten sources and washing my beans before consuming (as some in the gf community have advised) and this link explains why. Ive gotten safe lentils from Nuts before (although they state theyre processed in a facility with wheat). Please share your safe sources.
