Reading Jean Paul Sartres works and talking about his philosophy - TopicsExpress

Reading Jean Paul Sartres works and talking about his philosophy and beliefs with people, ended up with my friends criticisms. They are asking: why am I studying political science if I am interested in philosophy? What matters the most is a core belief or faith, a faith that will never shake. Faith is like foundation. Nobody can build a target without a foundation. Faith is the core; like Earth’s core, like Sun’s core. All other things are like electrons turning around the core (faith/belief). What keeps the universe together is its core, what keeps an atom together is its core, and what keeps a society from destruction are beliefs and faiths of every individual in the society. Makka can be a good portrayal of the faith/believe… see how people turn around the core. Without a faith/belief nothing matters. Who are we? Why should somebody fight for justice? Why should somebody care about other people? Why is freedom important? Whether you are a secular or a religious man, you must have some fundamental beliefs about justice, freedom, economics, death, power. Without a belief there comes nothingness… On the other hand, what we believe is even more important. Hitler had a belief, he became an inspiring political figure, millions listened to him, but he ended up with failure. Prophets did have beliefs too, but they inspired billions, and still have billions of followers after centuries. Whoever follows the prophets is less fallible. In short, to have a faith/belief and what to believe, compels me to go through all different schools and philosophies. Not that I care about politics or philosophy… but because I care about humanity… I care about being a citizen of Afghanistan… I care about unity, justice, freedom, education, food, and land… ;) philosophy teaches me how important they are… and politics helps me practice my self-built philosophy… hehe ;) Sorry, for the grammatical or other mistakes… I write these as I check my facebook… not enough time to revise… but still you will understand what I have written if you read them… ;)
