Reading about House of Commons divisions on The Public Whip - TopicsExpress

Reading about House of Commons divisions on The Public Whip website is fascinating stuff. Youd be surprised at the things you dont realise are going on there at the moment. It seems Conservative MP Nigel Adams is trying to push through a bill that would remove public subsidies for onshore wind turbines and for connected purposes, whatever that means. However, as its a Ten Minute Rule bill, it looks unlikely to become law at this stage. Based on these division results, it looks like a hard core of 50 or so Conservative MPs favour the proposal, as do both UKIP MPs. Not so much with Labour, Liberal Democrats, Greens, SNP, DUP, SDLP or Alliance. If Im not mistaken, UKIP would rather we live in a country without renewable energy subsidies. Its a big eh-uh to that from me.
