Reading again about this brothers case, it makes me remember what I often (and perhaps u too) forget. Hate the crime. Not the criminal. The criminal should be judged, but in a fair court trial. Not by the society who get half baked story from tabloid media. It reminds me of the Adik Firdaus story. Some cant hold their fingers, posting hatreds against the mother and her crime. Yes she is at fault, and should be judged for her crime. But as a person who is not in charge of her court trial, where she could be judged (hopefully fairly), I personally do not think we have the right to judge her emotionally. Her crime of child neglect is wrong. But in Islam, ones are judged not solely on the crime, but also on why she did the crime. U read about her online only, do u even know her to have the right to criticized her like a judge? Do u know her by simply looking at several picture of hers and videos? Is that enough to summarized on her? I would rather let the judge in the court with evidence do the investigation, where she can (hopefully) fairly defends herself, where evidence can be presented before the verdict is read. No, I am NOT penyokong tegar wanita ini. She deserved to be punished for the crime. Under court trial. Not the societys who throw rude words. As a Muslim to another human being, I want to remind myself of how the Prophet has treated his enemy. :( Just mesmerized by this brothers understanding of Islam, indeed its not easy NOT to be judgmental especially living in this society where ppl tend to judge. May I be reminded always.
