Reading all of the stories of how you came to listen to Dean and Gold Radio brings a human side to the axing of Deans show and the inadvertent public service he provided to many listeners. While Global are within their right to cut back on the radio station for another similar brand targeting the same demographic, its only right to say that Dean has touched a cord with many people and hopefully another radio station or group will see the advantage Dean attracts with the audeince, in particular the BBC who dont have a nightly programme playing 50s, 60s, 70s and some 80s music with the USP of interaction with an audience who may not have the opportunity elsewhere to have their favourite song and a bit of a chat with Dean.
