Reading every theology book known to man by all the greatest writers and philosophers and having a ton of knowledge is not the same as actually walking with Jesus. Walking with Jesus is a real thing. Jesus is really alive today. He is not a theology book. He is not an idea. He is God. He is the truth. Jesus says if you love Him you will obey His commands. Its simple. Obey Him. Understanding is keeping His commands. Wisdom is walking in the way of truth. It is not merely head knowledge. It is action. Period. Simply follow Jesus. Without all the doctrine blinders. Jesus doctrine is pretty simple. Repent and believe the gospel. Follow after righteousness and holiness. Its simple. Ive have learned that out of someone who has studied the works of all the great reformers and philosophers and out of someone who simply does what Jesus says, the person that does what Jesus says is obviously the one more likely to be following Jesus. Why do you call me Lord but do not do what I say? - Jesus If you love me you will obey my commands. - Jesus He who hears these sayings of Mine and keeps them is like a wise man who built his house upon rock and the winds came and beat on that house but it stood fast but he who hears the sayings of Mine and does not do them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand and the winds came and beat on that house and it fell and great was its fall. - Jesus
