Reading recent posts has caused me to realize that liveaboard means different things to different people. To me, it means living aboard my boat with no plan to do anything else. Apparently for many others it means I live aboard on weekends, or I live aboard but I have no plans to sail anywhere, or I live aboard for the summer, or I live aboard when I charter. This definition makes a huge difference in all kinds of things, such as what type of boat is suitable, what systems or amenities on board will suffice, etc. So if we have different ideas about what living aboard means, we will have dramatically different ideas about everything else concerned with living aboard which we so animatedly discuss here. So perhaps before anyone poses a question, they should identify what flavor of live aboard they are.
