Reading this and learning more about the facts of the case, I dont blame Richie Cognito nor do I blame Johnathan Martin. I blame mass media. Im sure JM was having some struggles that couldve eventually piled up as a result of the cafeteria incident, but to put this on an individual player or players is entirely unfair. There is a very special and unique relationship in the locker room and looking back, there have been things that I have said or done that were inappropriate and unacceptable, just as there were many things done to me that were inappropriate and unacceptable. I never took anything the wrong way and I dont believe my teammates took anything the wrong way, because it truly was a brotherhood. I treated them like my brother and always had love for them despite some ups and downs. The atmosphere and culture is unlike anything else on this planet. Theres always going to be that guy in the locker room but in the same sense, but not to the extent of a bully. Even more, the offensive line has a very unique subculture within the team. It doesnt surprise me one bit seeing more and more of the truth coming out. It will be interesting to see what legal actions come next....
