Reading this just makes me shake my head, I dont understand why there is this reflective image being printed on rap culture that there are overnight sensations and prodigies being birthed by the second. If every rapper quit after not getting the exposure they felt was necessary, there would be no genre in tack. I love Hip Hop for its ability to seep through the cracks of a society and unite communities together through the conviction of spoken word. The movement originated in the Bronx on the south border where DJs would manifest together to hold street parties. Two turntables and a basic dual channel mixer were the only tools necessary in the foundations of creating a beat. The MC came after and to think that people feel like everything has been granted to them through the portals of their own computer screens. Wake up and take the hits for what you love, resilience is the one trinket you will need to keep hold of in order to develop your craft. Get out there and do something about it!
