Ready for a great rant? No? Well youre about to get one! Ive been thinking about this for a while and since no one seems to say anything about it then I will! Follow me to the next paragraph and buckle up! (Barrel rolls down a line) Ive always been told what to do. Ive always played by the rules. But the older I get, the more I realize that the rules are set by people that do not abide by them. Politicians, police, lawyers, corporate CEOs, salesmen, college professors, diverse governments and militaries--all fit in this category and there are definitely more. I am told to be good and live by a certain standard so I can grow old and hopefully make it to retirement. I then would spend the rest of my days playing bingo or golf--living peacefully, not focusing on the worlds problems. The American Dream! Become rich while society slowly steals your money, happiness, rights, and opinions while we try to achieve that dream. Truth is, I am tired of this. Where exactly is America? I was raised loving God, supporting the troops, saying the pledge, honoring the President, and crime was lower. Now this once democratic nation full of patriotism is becoming a capitalist corporation full of totalitarianism and scandals. All I see is hatred, racism, freedoms turning illegal, and lazy people. Why do we worship celebrities and social media? Why are we identified like robots rather than citizens? (Ex: SSI, Drivers License number, student number, employee number, etc.) Why is God bad now? Dillan, just be glad youre not in a third-world country! Im truly thankful Im not. That being said, we will end up in a scarier situation than that if no one stands up and says Hey, this is MY life. China doesnt have that right and we shouldnt fully lose ours through ignorance. This is not police America. This is not the banks America. This is not white America. This is not black America. This is not tan America. This is not Obamas America. This is not corporate America. This is the United States of America. Why are we told do this, do that, dont do this, and dont do that by people that are throwing away everything we have established and do worse than us? You can sit there (or stand) and disagree with me all day or you can take a second and think about the bigger picture for once. These are OUR lives. Not someone elses to control. We must pursue united we stand or either we become divided we fall. Dont be told. Do the telling. Thats all I got. I am serious about this, too. Comments and opinions are welcome.
