Ready for an amazing announcement? For Give Laugh Groove, I announced a contest encouraging people to raise money for the organization Feed My Starving Children that helped us with the meal-pack. People formed teams from all over the world (Germany, Brazil, UK, Spain, US, Canada, etc) THESE TEAMS ALONE raised $9,368, which equates to the cost of ingredients for 44,581 MEALS, to be sent to starving children around the world. The rule was if you raised over $2,000, you won a free clinic by me in your hometown. First place also won an 18 BYZANCE Brilliant Crash donated by Meinl Cymbals. Second place one THREE bricks of sticks donated by Vic Firth. These top three drummers are the three people who won the clinic: Lucas Aikin from Arizona raised $2,600 Bernd Richter from Germany raised $2,218 Beatriz Malta from Brazil raised $2,001 Ill be visiting Lucas during the Drew Ofthe Drew tour in Jan. Bernd in Germany this fall during a clinic tour. And Beatriz next spring while in South America. This is an unbelievable display of taking action, realizing you are capable of achieving what you desire, and being a DO-IST. Booyah.
