Real Love or True love or Genuine love doesnt need proofs. You dont have to proof to anybody that you love anybody. Just love and that love will prove itself to those concerned. Love itself manifests itself in action. For example, God has to become a human being because of His love for us. Jesus had to be on the cross naked because of His love for us. St Francis of Assisi had to abandon his fathers wealth and become a poor person because of his love for the poor. Mother Theresa of Calcutta deprived herself of so many things because of her love for the poor. They were not dong this because they wanted to prove that they love. They simply loved and that love manifested itself, it became visible. Some people spend so much of their time, energy and resources proving to somebody or some people that they love them. Some even give away their body in order to proof that they love somebody. Some people do all sorts of stupid, foolish and ungodly things trying to prove their love for somebody. Jesus did not command us to prove our love, He commanded us simply to love one another as He has loved us (John 13:34-35). If you truly love, if you love genuinely, if you really love, then love and live it there. Dont prove anything. To love is like being a woman or a man. Do I need to prove to anybody that I am a man? I am a man, I have all the features of a man, I do things like a man. So, what kind of proof do I need to give again? Men are found of telling girls to prove their love for them by giving them their body in the form of going to bed with them, and when something goes wrong after that love ends or become sour, and you that proved your love to him end up suffering. So, you dont have to prove your love. If you love, simply love; and if you dont love then forget about it.
