Real Talk 101: Christian According to the bible, the first time the title is used is in Act 11:26 where it states, And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. Now here is something that most of you are not aware of, Antioch is modern day Syria. When you learn facts about history, you can grasp exactly what is going on there today. They tell you that the New Testament (Text Amenta), whichc is a christian text, is originally Greek. Yet, the bible tells you the first Christians followers of Christ were those disciples of Antioch. Here is a historical fact. The Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch employs the oldest surviving liturgy in Christianity, the Liturgy of St. James the Apostle. In which uses Syriac as its official and liturgical language. If you would take just a brief moment to study for self, you will clearly see the deception that is being presented. Greek was not the language of the first Christians, of Antioch, yet you have the Christian book today being that of Greek. Do even know who the Syrians of Antioch were in the first place?
