Real Wealth Is Christ In Us This world is full of people, who live to only gratify their own lusts. You have heard the old adage: whoever dies with the most toys wins. As ridiculous as this seems, these people are all around us. Surely everyone goes around like a mere phantom; in vain, they rush about, heaping up wealth without knowing whose it will finally be. Psalms 39:6 (NIV). Happiness does not consist in the things that we own in this world. Many movie stars, with fantastic wealth, at the top of their careers committed suicide. There is an emptiness in mankind that can only be filled by the presence of the Holy Spirit within them. To them, God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27 (NIV). Without God in our lives, we are just existing because money is as temporal as we are in this life. For all can see that the wise die, that the foolish and the senseless also perish, leaving their wealth to others. Psalms 49:10 (NIV). Wealth used to enable the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world is the only lasting reward that we can receive from it. In Him (Jesus) (Yeshua), we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of Gods grace that He lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He (God) purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment: to bring unity to all things in Heaven and on earth under Christ. Ephesians 1:7-10. (NIV). The only true riches of this world exist in Jesus Christ. But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. Romans 8:10 (NIV). True wealth is in knowing Jesus Christ (Yeshua) as our own personal Savior. To the person who pleases Him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness; but, to the sinner He gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too, is meaningless, a chasing after the wind. Ecclesiastes 2:26 (NIV). And Ill say to myself, You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry. But God said to him, You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then, who will get what you have prepared for yourself? This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God. Luke 12:19-21. (NIV). Wealth is a gift, as is all things in life, for they all come from God. Only what we do for God and others is riches that will go to Heaven with us. I pray that out of His glorious riches, He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lords holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge: that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:16-19. Peace and shalom to you all. May you find the true riches of God, which are only in Christ.
