Real hip-hop invokes emotion and paints pictures in your head that your OWN mind creates. You interpret the song the way you want to because real hip-hop is merely a guide that gives you the tools to create your own masterpiece within your mind. Dont let the world fool you into thinking that true hip hop is dictated by billboards and top 10 charts. Sometimes just like gold, you have to dig to find the treasures. Not because underground rappers prefer to stay in the shadows, but because the majority of listeners do not want to paint their own canvas and the rappers trying to give them the tools are not willing to paint it for them. Nobody wants to be underground, rapping is their craft and they want to make a living off of it just like anybody who has honed their craft does; just not at the sacrifice of their own creative integrity. So for everyone who thinks hip hop is dead, nah its just on life support but I refuse to let this radio-play imitator shit pull the plug on what was and STILL IS a great genre.
