***Reality Check for you Wally Bobo. The uninsured (doesnt mean not employed) are now a burden for tax payers; ALL taxpayers because the state has to bare the burden of those uninsured folks who use the emergency room like it has a welcome, were in sign because they have no other choice. This is not old news. This is why Romney (a Re-thug) used it...because his position was for each and every citizen to be responsible for their own health care, thus they must be able to afford such care. This ACA is no different than auto insurance. If you want to own and drive a car, you must pay for the un-insureds fund. NC paid million(s) of dollars years ago for a fact finding and recommendation analysis/paper and in it (I saw it myself and read the whole damn thing) in 2008 that told the NC Government then, it would be cheaper for the State (and the taxpayers of NC) to expand the coverage to its poorest citizens who didnt already meet the Medicaid guidelines and the state would have saved MILLIONS and MILLIONS. They chose not to do so because this concept (not matter how easy to comprehend it is for reasonable, passionate and intelligent people), is too damn hard for some people to understand and in my honest opinion, its because theyre afraid someone is getting something theyre not getting and because we have become so uncivil (un-Christian and un-Jesus like) and want to blame the poor (includes the working poor); which is what I dont understand. Its not complicated. You either make sure they are covered with health care insurance, coverage of some kind, or you and every other taxpayer PAYS their unpaid hospital bills. Doesnt it make more sense to allow them coverage and regular health care to preempt their future serious medical problems to come? Or there is the option, just let them die. Then someone will have to face their makers and explain why they were so jealous and hateful.
