Realization with Glenda... Being an educator for two decades now made me feel that my mother was right in pushing me to this profession..but she knew then that I wanted to be somebody else...not a teacher. Nevertheless, I had d best profs that helped me become the kind of teacher that I am now. From them I crafted my ideal image of a teacher. At this time I can proudly say that I am reaping d fruits of my labor. I feel great when I learn that my former kinder and elementary pupils are professionals already...that my former college students are successful professionals already...though I dont claim all d credits for their success. But man by nature is insatiable. Now, I am venturing in another career that is different from teaching. I am an apprentice again with a great master, sir Ricky. With every principal and guidance counselor that we meet, when he says, Next year, Ruby will be d one to visit u coz Im retiring already, I feel glad for d trust that goes with his words and challenged as well for I ķnow that I need to meet his standard and live up to d expectations of our bosses. Well, this is it. I accepted the challenge and Im determined to succeed in it. When my mom learned about my new assignment, she smiled and said, You got exactly what u wanted. Its a dream come true for u. All this time...my mother was never wrong in guiding me...while my father is always sending me off with an assurance that he will always be there whenever I need him. All this time, I have been a lucky girl...I have all the reasons to be HAPPY!
