Really Dr.Phil...R u kidding me...The reason there is a Federal Law to protect the Native American Children from being adopted by someone other than a Native American is more than Just, considering all the wrong that had been done to the Native Americans...Stealing the new born babies from their mothers, along with the illegal adoptions of Native Children who were not put up for adoption but were taken away from their families in the goal to breed out any trace of Indian, plus the murder of innocent ppl and the life and land that was stolen and the rights of Native American Indians who were sent to reservations and made to give up their way of life their language and their beliefs. Yes all this happened many many years ago, but we Natives are still reminded of the wrongs done to our people, and to keep what is left of our people from becoming extinct is to make sure that our children know who they are and grow up with their people...So Dr.Phil I think you are wrong...
