Now that we know that the legislature cannot perform any meaningful role in checking the executives excesses and the judicial branch is embroiled in self-destruction, Kenyans sole hope remains in a free, vibrant and professional media. If democracy is to take root in Kenya, then we must allow journalists to hold the mirror in our collective faces.
