Really good Spark Here is a spark. I am on my 4th week - TopicsExpress

Really good Spark Here is a spark. I am on my 4th week recovering from a complicated lower spinal surgery. I am a married mother of 2, work full time and in the process of adopting two children( thats a story for another time ). I have had a woman and her crew clean our house for some time. I left when they came this week to run errands with my mom. When I returned I noticed my basket on my dresser was disturbed which held my pain medicine. Two bottles of pain medicine was missing. I immediately called the owner of the company and explained what happened. She called me back and said shes bringing the crew to my house because they all denied stealing the medicine. At this point called the police office to meet me here because I didnt know what the circumstances were and didnt feel safe confronting them alone. So long story short we narrowed down what was the who took the trash out because one of the bottles was there empty which was a liquid medicine. The police officer took statements from everyone to call their information but left her outside then spoke to her alone searched her car to no avail. At this point I figured what would it hurt and I asked the police officer to come stay nearby when I went to talk to the lady who I had learned was a single mom with three kids. I explained to her the trickle effect of everyone shes affecting by her actions especially her children and herself by denying the truth and the gravity of the situation. I told her Jesus was offering his hand if grace to her today as I am a person that loves everyone and I want to help her not prosecute her. Explained that if she continued to lie I would put this through and prosecute her to the fullest because one thing I cant stand is being lied to. I told her that if she admitted to the truth that I would not prosecute her. I would be her friend and I would hold her hand through recovery if that was a choice she made or she could walk away and continue her life this way and end up dead or worse her children could follow in her footsteps. With that the young lady began to cry and admitted that she had taken the medication she had ingested some and had to run some out the window when the owner had confronted them with stealing something from someones house. I dropped the charges held her in my arms and cried with her and told her she can be strong and have the life she wants and that this was not what God had planned for her. I told her she owes me one thing and thats to at least begin reading the Bible. I explained that I was not always a religious person, but things in life point you in that direction to help you gain strength. Later that night the owner of the company called me and told me the other womans mother advised her that the young woman had herself they corrected it was getting checked into recovery. I pray for her and I feel like that was a spark I felt fulfilled and I hope she successful! Funny thing about it I hadnt even take any of the pain medicine and probably was going to throw it away because I didnt need it. It wasnt that something was taken for me that day it was I wanted to help someone. Thank you David for this wonderful thing you do and for giving it a name because it is a spark and it really resonated with me when I found your group. I love sparking people all day long! Have a great day!!!
