Really loved all your comments to yesterdays history lesson. My Mum always says that people who love animals are the best people in the world and you lot definitely prove that point. We hope you’ll all stay with us to follow our adventures in our house on wheels and we are all as excited as a big bag of excited things waiting for the big day. Yesterday, however, we just had a lazy day with Dad. Mum and her friend Rio had gone to Andrea’s to look after her three wee beans for a whole 24 hours. ON THEIR OWN!!!! Mum, in her words, was “Feckin shoitin herself” at the prospect and Dad said he’d love to help but had to get his nails done. Mum left yesterday morning in a right old panic and we expect her back in a few hours battered and bruised. Once she had gone Dad did a bit of housework, he’s good like that, and picked up three days worth of poop which we had kindly left spread around the garden mumbling something about the lazy bar stewards who hadn’t done that job while he was away. Poop collected he then settled down with us to watch a few movies he wouldn’t get to watch with Mum. (Dads just told me that could be taken the wrong way so I should explain). Mum doesn’t like, Violent movies, Scary movies, Sc-fi movies, Horror movies, Action movies, War movies, Western movies or any movie that stretches her imagination or powers of reasoning beyond her known blonde boundries. Dad made me put that last one in and he quickly gave us two examples of blonde reasoning moments Mum had while they were away looking for the house on wheels 1. They had to use Google maps on her phone to find their way around and Mum was very impressed with how clever satellite GPS was. After sometime thinking she asked Dad what the satellites were attached to too keep them up there. 2. They were passing ‘Joderall Bank where there is a 500ft wide satellite dish and Mum asked what it was. Dad explained it was a radio telescope and she replied “I’d love to have a look through that.” (How many of you are wondering what was wrong with that) Anyhow back to the movie issue. She does like ‘Chick Flicks’, Comedies and Thrillers but Dad hates watching Thrillers with her as he constantly has to explain the plot. So as ‘Chick Flicks’ are obviously out all they can happily watch together is Comedies. So Dad spent the day catching up with a bit of manly violence and one particular movie about the internal intrigue in a bank at the start of the recession which would have lasted 10 hours including stops for explanation if Mum had been here. She refuses to believe there is a recession anyway and thinks it’s all just a big con by Dad to stop her going to the shops. Might be something in that…………………………..
