Really want everyone to come to the Big Book Party (PLEASE! you must!) Mon June 10 6-8pm -- check out new Bowery Poetry (still 308 Bowery). Look beneath the gilded splinters to see the old BPC. Papa Susso will just be getting back from the Gambia, middle section of SING THIS ONE BACK TO ME is translations of poems he sang to me. First time ever for griot songs in English! Then the wonderful Timbila, the Zimbabwe music crew, will perform, including several songs with my lyrics also in book. Lots of time to hang out, catch up, and of course, buy a book!
