Really, what happens? During the middle of trial a juror has a question... Do they raise their hand and blurt out the question? Do they stop the attorney and turn their attention to the witness and ask the witness directly? Does a juror stand up in the middle of questioning and ask the judge for clarification? Does a juror have to wait until the witness is finished testifying in order to ask a question? Does the juror have to submit questions in writing to the judge in order to get an answer from the witness? Who actually asks the question to the witness? Is it the juror or the judge? Just because a juror has a question, does that mean its an appropriate question to be asking? What would seem to be a simple question has many different possibilities and no easy answer.
