Reasons for loving my new job before starting work with Apple....well, I think Ive mentioned at least TEN. Here, a week before starting, I get an email from my manager. Saying she cant wait to meet me....and she gives me a history of her FAMILY life WITH pictures. Even her family pets. A picture of her. A picture of her, her husband and kids with the family pets....and one of the cats, one of the dog. And all smiling. Too good to be true? If it werent Apple, I would think so. I know How Jobs put an expectation on things though and I am glad to see even after his passing, his company lives up to it. There will be facetime (Skype) during work, so I know the pictures I get are real. If not, Id know when I Skype with my manager. From my manager: • I joined Apple on Monday 4/23/12 as an AHA CPU Team Manager. Later moving into mentoring, interviewing, recruiting and now as an iOS Springboard Team Manager. I have almost 10 years Management experience, 4 years training and facilitation experience and over 13 years of call center experience. My past employment I have worked for a local Newspaper / TV Station, Telecommunications company and started out in a little bit of retail. • I enjoy spending time with my family and friends! • Like most of us at Apple, I love my iPhone, iPad and iPad Mini! • I make all my food from scratch, avoiding all of the processed goods. My Digestive track made me do it!! • Im really looking forward to hearing about you! The only other supervisor that got this personal was my Supervisor David Labbe, and after losing him as my Sup, I no longer believed in SDC. I feel it was HIM I believed in and he gave the credit to SDC. Which made him even more Awesome.
