Recd this on an E Mail; Seems to be a convenient time on Saturday; Im sure other candidates and residents might want to be present to see what and where the site is. Also I firmly believe other Council Members than Boardman and Shaw had a lot to do with the ground rules as they alone make up 2 of 7 votes not a majority for anything. I will guarantee the majority of Meridith Residents are interested in meeting more than this group of Candidates. I know for a fact Dave Sullivan had a major position on the School site issues as did Joe Carchio. I am sure the Meredith Gardens Homeowners Assn is not endorsing these Candidates as a slate as I am a member and was never ask if I supported these people. MGHA is not the HBDRA thats makes endorsements without asking all Candidates to submit information and oppurtunuities to speak . Meredith Gardens Residents, A meet and greet event has been scheduled in appreciation of the support given by city council candidates who helped turn the tide in favor of residents in the LeBard development battle with the school district. This resulted in the city council agreeing to buy the LeBard open space for $3,168,000 and limiting single family development to the LeBard site hard scape. Council members Connie Boardman and Joe Shaw along with planning commissioners Mark Bixby and Erik Peterson will attend this event to be held in front of the LeBard Park clubhouse from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM this Saturday, September 27. Light refreshments will be served. This is your opportunity to thank them for their LeBard support and also ask for or give your views on local issues such as city services, density, traffic, plastic bags, etc. Come and show your support for those who have supported you this Saturday! Sincerely, Ed Kerins MGHA Civic Affairs Chair
